This may look like a random photo of a shop window, but it's the people in front of the window that I intended to catch. Every spring, summer, autumn Brighton becomes hostage to the language student. Milling around, in what seems like their thousands, following some inevitable
clipboard around the sights of Brighton.

  1. What are they doing actually?

  4. My daughter toured Europe twice is a similar group. As much money as I sent with her I have to think some was shared with the local merchants.

  5. That's what makes Brighton so different from the rest of England. The language students/tourists give an amazing cosmopolitan feel to the town. And maybe I'm just remembering things in a wishful way, but I feel that us Brightonians are not your usual casual English xenophobe.
Like I said, though, I may be looking through rose-tinted glasses. Shit, I miss Brighton.

  6. I think you're all right it really does make the place more cosmo, livelier, entertaining and instrinsically "Brighton" - if there was a weary tone in my post I apologise....We are certainly not xenophobic and welcome all to our beautiful city......
