  2. I stood on this pier in 1980 and saw one of the 'Red Arrows' fly over my head with no pilot and crash in the water on the other side. He apparently clipped a mast and bailed out. I have an old photo of the splash of water as it hits. Can't wait to come back to England one day.

  4. Such happy memories. My girl friend is there at the moment selling her apartment for lack of good tenants. Are there lots of new buildings going up in the city?

  5. Ah.. how many good memories! I had a brother living there and used to go visit him for long periods... and when there I used to go on the beach with my laptop to use some wireless connections.

  6. This is how I remember Brighton Beach from my summer holidays some years ago. Every time I see pictures from Brighton I feel much better and enjoy memories connected with this city. The only thing I'm sad about is that with the enchanting West Pier Brighton Seafront irredeemably lost part of its soul. Nonetheless, I (a German living in France) am looking forward to coming back to the UK and especially to Brighton more than once in my life.
