It's one of the first things you see as you come over the downs into brighton - like a sore thumb on the left hand side of Brighton centre is Shoreham power station an ugly (yet I understand protected) massive chimney dominating the coastal skyline - who dreams this stuff up?

  2. I was looking forward to visiting Brighton, but now, after seeing this post, I've changed my mind.

  3. My thats a shame, we have something very similar when you go into the Hoosier Nation Forest. Nothing more than a Jurassic eyesore!

  4. Don't know why it's protected, it's not even old. I remember getting up early in the morning to watch them blowing-up the old power station that used to sit there. That was something to look at.
