Sussex Heights, Brighton

At over 330 feet tall, the building called Sussex Heights dominates the Brighton skyline - unlike most other major cities this is the only really tall building. It's such a shame that architecturally it's not very engaging - but a vibrant community thrives within, with some of the best views for miles around.

Earlier this year it was discovered that Peregrine Falcons had nested again in specially made boxes at the Heights building. You can read the peregrine diaries up to July this year.

You can see the building from a completely different perspective and see just how much it dominates our skyline. Posted by Picasa

  1. It's not exactly attractive, is it, and this has been chosen to dominate your sky view?

  2. Is there really a vibrat community. I had heard that it was half- empty for most of the year.
