Taken down on the prom at one of those stands that sells all sorts of seaside tat - you know the ones, that still sell armbands, rock, shells, dinghy's, rubber rings, flip-flops etc etc - still drawn to them as an adult as they were so exciting as a child!

Part of the new development in Brighton, near to the new library is this building, a mixture of residential space and shops - the entrance is to the restaurant Carluccios, a sleek and chic italian designer place - great for apple croissants and cappucinos in the am!

Sun up. blue sky, happy, happy, happy! Lunchtime in the pavillion gardens

Probably one of the last days of summer but a wonderful opportunity to catch the Pavillion in the sun against a blue sky backdrop.

Sunset over Brighton, I tried really hard to get a great shot today from the Shoreham Airshow, there were Chinooks, Harriers and Spitfires - sadly not a single shot was worthy of publication. So instead you get this sunset taken from the boat.

And in keeping with the current theme of REALLY ugly buildings here's the Odeon, also on Brighton seafront. Hmmmmm.

Possibly taking the biscuit as the ugliest building in Brighton - smack bang on the seafront is this 70's concrete monstrosity The Brighton Centre. How was this allowed to happen? Hosting concerts and conferences only and right next door the wonderful Grand Hotel this building seems out of place.

This was taken at what was the lowest (and subsequent highest) tide in 20 years - you could walk out right to the west pier and even walk under it (getting your feet a tad damp!).
