Northern Sky

Couldn't really capture the atmosphere of the sun streaming down through the clouds this evening - damn wish I was a better photographer, anyone got any hints as to how I could've really capture the rays of sun coming through the clouds on the horizon?

  1. The clouds look pretty good as they are. It is just a case of being in the right place at the right time, yesterdays shot is a good example of that. Diane

  2. To capture sun rays you must have a dark background.

  3. The picture's a good one - perhaps if you cropped it into a 9x3 that would highlight the light streaming down rather than the huge bank of clouds........

    Enjoy viewing your blog daily!

  4. I noticed the sun rays before I read your text! You did capture them!

  5. When you enlarge the photo the rays are obvious but I think cropping the sky might have made them clearer.
