A bit of fun....

...for a good cause.

Our company, Spannerworks, has supported the Amani Childrens home charity for a number of years.

This year, after a break last year, a number of our volunteers will be climbing Kilimanjaro in order to raise funds for the childrens home.

In support of this fund, these inventive fundraisers blagged their way in to the local cricket club, Sussex, and dressed up in order to raise further funds. More photos of the day can be seen on Facebook

Well done lads - I think I heard you raised a further £1,300 - nice one and good luck with Kili!

A few short hours ago...

It seems only a few short hours ago when I took this - before the heavens opened - i daren't take out my camera today for fear of it getting soaked through.....torrential rain ALL day resembling a rainy day in November and not barmy August evenings - roll on the holidays.....!

Brighton Pavillion

Right in the centre of Brighton is the folly Brighton Pavillion - a great place just to sit and relax in the sunshine.

The beaches were full and the sun was shining here in Brighton today. When the tide is out the sea shelves very gently and you can appear to be very far out to sea yet still stand up. In the distance the Worthing Pier is visible on clear days. Can you spot the group of bathers in the foreground?

Poets Corner

A few weeks back there was a small fair/festival held in the park in Poets Corner in Hove. Lots of charities had manned their stands for the event where live bands and kids enjoyed themselves......

Pub Grub

Like many of England's pubs The Westbourne on Portland Rd, Hove has turned into a bit of a gastro affair. Well recommended it's now family friendly and worth a visit when you're in town!
