Bad vignetting?
I took this whilst the sea was really rough down at the marina wall. notice in the corners that the lens is showing bad signs of vignetting - any clues on how to fix this anyone?
Its a Nikon VR 18-200 - this is at medium zoom I think....

Stormy weather
So much for the crystal skies of last year - this Christmas, when we returned, has rain-wind-gloom in store for us down on the south coast.
Anyone got snow for Christmas?

Pavillion entrance
This entrance to the Pavillion grounds was donated by the government of india as the pavillion itself was used as a hospital for those Indian soldiers wounded during the world war.

At long last
We got a sunny day in Brighton today - which was a RELEASE - there we colours everywhere - Hallelujah!
I know it's a stock obvious photo - but whenever you see then you want to snap and snap again.
Great are they they? these little beach huts at the bottom of my road. Love it.!

Sweet nothings...
Freezing on the beach as it is, it didn't bother these two.
I've resorted to a library shot today as my Nikon Lens is going in for repair - will have to use the 50mm lens only over Xmas.....great for portraits I guess.

Blasted roadworks
The bane of most residents/commuters lives in Brighton is the wisdom of the local council and it's blasted roadworks programme. Sure we need roads fixed and drainage systems that work BUT it creates havoc - the seafront road has been dug up for nearly a year now and the bottom of North Street is a disaster area. Grrrrrr!

Graffiti in the Laines....
Apols for this last weeks posting (or lack of) - there is no excuse, just when you're looking out at grey rainy skies it doesn't float the creative boat and make you WANT to get the camera out.
Having spent this weekend in Birmingham I find a renewed vigour to tackle the blog, rain or shine, even if it's just with the canon ixus - I'll get one away each day - I promise.......errr.!

going deep...
OK so not the most exciting of photographs from BDP, especially after such a ling period away, but you should've seen how poor the light is here (I AM aware of just how poor this excuse sounds).
So today I bring you some of the diversity found on Portland Rd in Hove, this is the most amazing road - there's this dive shop, a music shop, signwriters, numerous convenience stores, a greek souvenier shop (really there is), cafe's and one or two undertakers.......but can you find a bakers for love or money? No sir - there's your next business venture.
