Wood on Brighton Beach

A few weeks on now and still the effects of the sunken ship abandoning its cargo of timber are still being felt across the coastline. It could take months to get back to normal.

A few people have found some creative uses for the wood.

  1. I'd read about this spill of wood. I like your photograph. Such a contrast to the pier - especially loved the 'creative use' of it.

So what will happen to this wood? I heard on the news that people are not supposed to touch it, I believe.

  2. I hadn't heard of this spill at all. That's quite the photo on flickr that you have! Love it!

I would certainly appreciate your posting a condolence message in my blogs today for the wife of a good blogger friend...

  3. Yes, glad it wasn't oil! I did see a few flickr photos from this accident last week.

  4. I sure could put that wood to very good use!

Yes, thankfully it wasn't oil. That would definitely have been quite a tragedy.
