Brighton Vs Man City Pitch invasion

Tken by my good friend Sam we were lucky enough to watch Brighton Vs Man City this week - where Brighton as the underdog (2 divisions below Man City) beat them on penalties after the score finished 2-2 in extra time in the league cup.

Tanks also to my good friend Paul who stood me the ticket (Cheers Paul!) What a night for the Brighton Fans. And poor old Man City (Richest club in the world) were left a little embarassed.

The elephant powder's not working

In the grounds of the Royal Pavillion there are 13 elephants gracefully grazing!

As part of The Survival Tour to promote saving the elephant and other endangered species, the topiary elephants have set up home here for September.

Here's what the website says.....

"Wildlife conservation is brought dramatically to life with 13 life-sized topiary elephants touring the UK and Ireland with British charity, elephant family. Our herd was created by Topiary Joe in beautiful Clonakilty, West Cork."

The Lanes Brighton

Many a visitor coming to Brighton is drawn to the Lanes - a labyrynth of small cobbled alleyways lines with antiques shops, jewellers and curios.

Brighton Burn Up

Today is the Ace Cafe Brighton Burn up. Thousands upon thousands of bikes descended on the seafront for a magnificent day in the sunshine. A must in the bikers calendar - both for the Chrome and leather boys as well as the race reps, scooters and mods, rat bikes, tourers - anything goes.

I picked these out as the most colourful - all the way from Bristol. More pics of the day can be found over at Brighton Daily photo extra.

Which in keeping with the biking theme - i just got back from a long weekend up in North Wales - superb roads and lucky with the weather. Pics over here.

In stark contrast to yesterday's post - the heavens opened - and the trip to work was battered by wind whilst raining cats & dogs
