Took me a while to get this one right - these are the arches under the main road - down on the beach.

Calling all the heroes

Obviously taken at night (hence the poor quality of the shot) this is the 1st and 2nd war memorial that sits in regency square looking out to sea - calling all the heroes.

Toffees and Candies in Brighton

Night shot of the sweet shop on the seafront - a perfect evening, warm sea air, folks still down on the beach, people taking a stroll - British Brighton Seaside at it's best.

Camping in Small Dole

Dotted all over the South Downs are little campsites which are just great for heading out for the weekend outdoors.

This one in Small Dole nestles in behind the downs a few miles out of Brighton and is great for the kids.

In the Lanes there's always a jazz band performing - they're brilliant talented musicians - making everyone's lunch hour skip by.

Extraordinary weather

OK so it's not an extraordinary picture but we've been battered by gales on the South Coast all evening and I awoke to find bits our tree all over the front garden.

Up in lancashire apparently a tornado was trying to hit the ground!

So much for our glorious summers - and the rain's here to stay too according to our friends over at the BBC.

Paint me a picture

The lanes are bustling with life at this time of year, jazz bands, people eating al fresco and this chap who's always there in the summer months selling his sketches and drawings.

Forecast rain

Today's forecast was supposed to be heavy rain! As you can see - it ain't!
