Don't lose your head

Not really aiming for this one - but i thought it was interesting.

It reminded me of a photograph by a professional I was recently shown in class - I'll dig out the reference and post up.

Red sky at night

The most amazing sky over Brighton this evening as the days end sooner and the nights close in.

Apple Festival

Thanks to my good friend Maddy I got the tip off that there was a funky little festival going on over at Middle Farm. Called the Apple Festival people visited from all over Sussex to celebrate the "apple"! Which mainly consisted of lots of sticky toffee apples for the kids and lots of cider for the grown ups. Mor pics over on my personal blog The Harveys

The Long Man of Wilmington

Of historical interest just down the A27 towards Eastbourne is the Long Man of Wilmington who has baffled historians and archaeologists for years. In the late 1800's he was marked out in yellow bricks as before that he could only be seen in light snowfall or on frosty mornings.

During WWII he was painted green to stop enemy pilots from using him as a landmark!

In the late 60's the yellow bricks were replaced with pre-cast concrete by way of further restoration - not quite the chalk carving all the members of my family thought it was.......

Fatboy Slim Gig - Big Beach Boutique

Last Saturday saw the Big Beach Boutique 4 - a concert held by the dj Fatboy Slim. I have to say that if you read some of the forum posts from the Argus Website I agree with a lot of them. We found the whole experience an unpleasant one - crowded (to the point of their being tension in the crowd), over priced drinks - not loud enough and didn't get to see a thing. In fact we left and went back the the terraces bar - at £40 per ticket we felt a little robbed.
