View from the inside

So I'm running the Brighton Marathon - which has led to the necessity of joining a gym - those of you that know me also understand that this is an unlikely turn of events - marathon sausage roll eating competition, possibly but Dean, running. Surely not.

Well today marks a bit of a tiny tiny landmark - I ran for 5km without stopping. Now - I know that might not sound impressive - but hey - like I said, those that know me etc etc.

Don't worry I have until April 2010 to get into shape!

But I've also signed up for a 10km Brooks run in November - so there is a little pressure on.

I rewarded today's efforts with a coffee in the bar above the Gym - this is the view from the Thistle Brighton lobby/restaurant. Hey a fella's got to have something to look forward to - at least it wasn't a pint of cider!

If you feel the urge to donate/sponsor me - I'm running for an amazing charity - it's the Chestnut Tree House Hospice which cares for terminally ill children and their families - my dedicated wife works there so it's a no brainer really.

Here's where you can sponsor me over at justgiving.com so far I've raised £115 against a target of £1000 - so please, only if you want to, make a donation to a superb cause.
