Fringe comes to a close

The Brighton Festival and Fringe came to a close this weekend - as usual I left it too late to get to many of the acts - but amongst my work colleagues they tell me there were some really special acts on over the last 4 weeks.

Bank Holiday Weekend

The bank holiday passed with unusually great weather - this shot taken over at Camber Sands typifies our obsession with old beautiful things!

Stag Do

Brighton's long been a favourite for Stag and Hen do's. This weekend I got to see Brighton in amongst a stag do - the lucky fella pictured here is Damon - soon to be married in Italy!

Channel 4 Advert in London

A rather unique advertising programme to advertise the sensitive subject of the care system in Britain. The programme is called Britains Forgotten Children on Channel 4. It was quite a disturbing campaign with children - like the one pictured - all over Victoria station in Brighton.

Poems on Black Lion Street

As part of the renovation of Black Lion Street a new fence has been designed and erected oppsite Jamie's Restaurant. It's designed with poems integral to the design. The short poems are by the children of Middle Street School in Brighton and is a welcome addition to the street. More of the poems found over at Brighton Daily Photo Extra

Sunshiney Weekend ahead

It's been a funny old week - it seemed that the glorious days of April were now behind us and replace with a bitter vicious wind and a temperature to match - but this weekend it looks like the sun's gonna shine on us all - hallelujah! Might even get some time in on the beach - c'mon down!

Stock Car Racing

The Bank Holiday was well spent over at Arlington Raceway Nr to Brighton - for my first trip to a stock car rally - it was hilarious and absolute carnage - well recommended for an evening or day out.

Meanwhile - in centre Brighton they were having their own kind of riot as the Smash EDO protest turned ugly.

Childrens Parade 2009

The annual Children's parade took place on Saturday - with the theme being the Elements - some 73 schools and nurseries took part - and all thankful as the sun shone!
